Executive Approval: His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, has approved the recruitment of 3,050 Basic School Teachers to address critical staffing gaps in underserved and rural schools across Zamfara State.

This is a strategic government intervention to strengthen the basic education sector. The online application is the first stage of a transparent, technology-driven process.

Initial Eligibility Checklist

Applicants must meet all of the following basic requirements to proceed to the CBT stage:

1. Basic Personal Eligibility

Indigene

Zamfara State indigene

Age 18–35

Must be within prescribed age bracket

Valid ID

NIN / Voter's Card / National ID

Medically Fit

Subject to verification later

2. Academic & Professional Qualifications

Minimum Teaching Qualification

  • NCE (minimum)
  • B.Ed / B.Sc Ed / B.A Ed
  • B.Sc / B.A with PGDE

Additional Requirements

  • NYSC discharge/exemption (where applicable)
  • TRCN Certificate or evidence of registration

3. Priority Subject Areas (Added Advantage)

English Mathematics Basic Science & Technology Agricultural Science Social Studies Computer Science PHE Islamic Studies Hausa History Creative Arts Home Economics Arabic

NCE combinations and specialised qualifications as listed in the official checklist are also accepted.

4. State Indigenization & Local Govt.

  • Local Government of Origin
  • Ward/District of origin
  • Preference for posting in LGA of origin
  • Willingness to accept rural posting
  • Female applicants: spouse's work/residence info
Automatic Disqualification: Minimum qualification not met, incomplete documents, false declaration, multiple applications, age outside 18–35, or declining rural posting.
